The llaqta (city) of Machupicchu is an Inka political, religious and administrative center, which includes temples, platforms, houses and water channels.

The llaqta of Machupicchu is located in the district of Machupicchu, province of Urubamba, of the Cusco region, at the height of km. 112.5 of the railway line and it was a graben between the mountains of Machupicchu and Waynapicchu.
History and architecture
